changing my name

Hello everyone!
This is just a short note to let you know, that I've chaned my nick to my real name, so if you are wondering now where has Dewfall gone, and who is Dorote - this is me :)

Mirabela

I wanted to give a special present for one very special person and this is how Mirabela was born.

She is a simple girl, who enjoys life, brings happiness to all people around and loves music. Just look at her… she is listening to her favorite melody – The Waltz Of The Flowers.

Yes I feel I am ready for the jointed doll :)

It took me a while, making static dolls and it helped me to develop the idea of how this jointed doll should look like. I’m pretty happy how she is coming out, and I am terribly anxious to finish her.

I am so happy – I‘ve finaly lended camera from my dad, and could take pictures of my new and old dolls.

First of all, I would like to present you the Sovereign.

No one actually knows who has chosen her for this position; most probably she has chosen herself. How ever no one was complaining, as she was a vise and good willing monarch. Citizens admired her grace and elegance; they liked her wise speeches and tolerated her small whims. Her people were enjoying her company and had fun pampering her…

The second creature from my fantasy world is this little fairy which actually doesn’t feel little at all. She is sitting on a high arm chair to emphasize the big importance of her personality.

The Winter Day Muse

Do you know those winter days, when it's so cold that it seems your fingers and nose will turn into peaces of ice, and at the same time it’s so sunny and the snow shines so brightly and everything around looks so beautiful and mysterious, that you just do not want to go to the house?

These are the days that inspired me to create this girl.

37 cm, air-dry clay, steel wire, hundreds of silver coated and glass micro beads.

The idea of this exhibition was to hide names of the contestants and then to try to guess who has made which doll. I have to admit, that mine was easy to guess :)

year 2010

It suddenly got quiet. The noise and rush and crowds and million colors of fireworks have suddenly disappeared – The New Year became simply a year 2010 and daily life came back to its way.

I have to admit it was a lot of fun to meet friends and family, to exchange news and presents, to be together and to enjoy each other’s company. I also have to admit, that now it feels so good to be back in my studio, sitting at my working table, listing sketches and crafting. :)
